I've been pretty good at troubleshooting my PC issues on my own with some help from Google and YouTube. However, I'm facing a frustrating problem that I can't seem to fix. Most of the time, about 90% of the time, my PC starts up extremely slow and lags when I try to run any programs, including file explorer. I've checked the health of my SSD using CrystalDiskInfo, and it's good. My RAM has tested fine, and both my GPU and CPU are performing as expected. I even did a fresh Windows installation, ran a 'sfc scannow' which returned clean, and updated all drivers along with Windows. I also scanned for malware using Malwarebytes, and that came back clean too.
Here's my setup:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- GPU: RTX 3080
- Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus
- RAM: 32GB Corsair
- Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 M.2 Drive
- OS: Windows 11

Even if your SSD health reports 99%, it can still have problems. I had issues with my M.2 drive corrupting files while showing good health. It could be worth investigating further to see if that's the root of your slowdowns.
Have you thought about checking if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date? Sometimes these updates can fix odd issues like the one you're having. Also, consider if there's a problem with your Windows account or any specific settings that might be off, since you mentioned everything else seems fine. Good luck!
It's a brand new motherboard, so I didn't expect that to be the issue. Plus, it only lags sometimes, which is puzzling.

Did you experience similar issues to what I'm describing?
