Hey everyone, I've noticed a loud, screeching noise coming from my PC while playing certain games. It happens for a brief moment and then goes back to normal, but it keeps repeating. I initially thought it might be coil whine, but it only seems to occur inconsistently. Has anyone experienced this before?

That screeching sound could definitely be coil whine, which is actually pretty common. It's caused by the electrical parts vibrating when current runs through them, and it can come and go depending on the workload. Sometimes, some combinations of hardware are more prone to it than others. If you share your PC components, we might be able to pinpoint if there's a specific part causing the noise.
I've cleaned my setup already, so that's not the problem. My GPU is a Gainward Ghost 3060 Ti, CPU is an Intel i7 12700K, and I've got a 750W ROG Strix PSU. Any ideas on what else it could be?
Cleaning the coils is also a good step. This means you should check your fans, especially if you're using an air cooler. Make sure all the fans in your case are clean too! If you've already cleaned everything, then it might be a different issue.
