Help! My PC Is Stuck at the BIOS Screen

I was using my PC without any issues yesterday, but today I turned it on and it only boots to the BIOS screen. I set my NVMe drive as the boot device and saved my settings, but then got an error saying to "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot drive and press a key." I've already tried unplugging all USB and SATA drives, disconnected and reconnected my NVMe drive, and toggled CSM settings. I'm not sure what else to do—any help would be appreciated!

Your PC is likely not recognizing a valid bootable drive. You can try booting from a USB drive and running repairs for your operating system. If you're on Windows, grab the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB and use it for automatic repairs.

Thanks a lot, I'll give that a try!

It sounds like your boot drive might be failing. You should definitely check that out!

Hope not!

Best case scenario: your drive has a corrupted boot sector. You can use Macrium Reflect Rescue Media (look for the free version online) to boot from it and choose "Fix Windows boot". Worst case: if the drive itself is damaged, connect it via a USB adapter to another computer to check if you can access it and see your data. If you can, then it’s probably just a boot sector issue.

Thank you, I'll look into that!
