Help! My PC Won't Boot or Connect to My Monitor

I recently left my game of Minecraft for a short break, and when I came back, my monitor was displaying vertical lines and eventually went black. After restarting my PC, it won't connect to the monitor at all. I noticed that the RAM has RGB lighting after reboot, but my keyboard doesn't light up. Some sources suggest my GPU might be defective, and possibly the motherboard too. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

It sounds like your GPU might be having issues, especially if you're seeing those vertical lines. Before panic sets in, try connecting the HDMI or DisplayPort cable to a different output on the GPU. Also, if your motherboard has integrated graphics, switch to that and see if you can get a display. If the GPU is really dead, you’d likely have seen artifacts on the screen before this happened.
