Help! My PS5 is Broken and I Can’t Transfer Data to My New Console

Hey everyone, I've run into a major issue. My PS5 recently stopped working, so I purchased a PS5 Pro. However, when I logged into my account, I noticed that none of my saved game data transferred over. I was told that just downloading the games would restore my saves, but now I've lost my 200-hour save file for Kingdom Come 2. I suspect my save data is stuck on the broken console. I'm not sure what to do next. Since I can't perform a data transfer because my original console won't power on, should I just play a different game while I wait? If I manage to get my old PS5 working again and transfer the saves, will it overwrite my progress on the PS5 Pro? I don't think I backed up my data; does the console do that automatically? I've been using my PS5 almost daily since its launch, and this is really stressing me out. I was looking forward to gaming this weekend after a tough work week. My old console has failed before but typically came back after I unplugged it and let it rest. This time it won't power on at all. I might return the Pro and get a PS5 Slim instead while I attempt to fix my original PS5. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you have a PS Plus subscription, your saves should be in the cloud. But if not, those save files are typically stored only on the main SSD of your old PS5.

I don't have PS Plus myself. If I get it now, will that help me access my saves? I share an account with someone who has PS Plus, but for some reason, it’s not working on my new console right now.
