Help! My PSU Doesn't Fit in My PC Case Properly

I'm putting together my first PC, and I ran into a strange issue with the power supply unit (PSU). I got a free case a while back, and now that I'm buying parts, I bought an ATX PSU. However, it seems like the PSU is too 'small' in a way. It sits flush against the case, but the mounting holes don't align with the screws at all. Is this something that's normal? Should I be looking for a bigger PSU, or is there something else going on here?

Could you share the model of your case and your PSU? Sometimes, a mismatch in case sizes can cause these issues. A photo would help too!

Have you tried flipping the PSU around? If it fits but the holes donโ€™t line up, you might just have it upside down. Make sure you provide more details about your components for better assistance.

I think your case might be missing a mounting plate that allows it to align properly with the PSU. I found a picture of a similar setup; it seems to have a bracket that holds the PSU in place. You could even reach out to the manufacturer to see if they have a spare.
