I recently bought a Samsung Tizen TV back in January, and it was working perfectly until about a week ago. Now, it's glitching like crazy—it's behaving as if someone is constantly pressing buttons on the remote, even though no one is touching it. It pausing, opening menus, closing apps, and even turning itself on! It's incredibly frustrating. I'm seriously considering tossing it and getting a different brand. Before I do that, has anyone else faced a similar issue? Would using an Apple TV or a Roku stick alleviate the problem? I'm open to any suggestions or fixes! I've changed the remote batteries, made sure the power cord is secure, checked for IR interferences, and it still acts up even when the remote is out of batteries. Thanks for your help!

Since the TV goes haywire even with the remote batteries removed, it could be the TV's control buttons acting up. Make sure to check underneath the bezel for any stuck buttons. Try disconnecting all HDMI devices and even the network for a bit to see if that stops the madness. If it does, then it could be an external issue. If the problem persists, you might need to consider it a warranty issue.
Sounds like you might have a neighbor's kid messing around with a similar remote! That could totally explain the random glitches you're seeing.

You might want to check if there are any devices connected to your TV that could be interfering. Sometimes, a neighbor's remote can mess with Bluetooth signals too. Have you thought about resetting your TV to its factory settings?
I've already reset the TV to default and disconnected my smartphone remote. Everything seems alright in that regard.
