Help! My Windows 11 Just Upgraded to Pro Workstation, What Should I Do?

I was using my laptop with Windows 11 Home and trying to fix some issues with my games. After a while, an update notification popped up, and I thought it was a regular update. I clicked on it and it started installing. About 10 minutes later, it looked like the initial setup of Windows 11, but without the configuration options. Now, my system has switched from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro for Workstations! I'm really worried about having to reinstall all my apps and games. What can I do? I'm open to any suggestions, even if it means reinstalling Windows completely.

It sounds like you might have accidentally initiated an update that upgraded your system edition. First, try checking if you can revert the changes by going to Settings > System > About and see if there's an option to switch back or if you can restore to a previous state. Depending on your upgrade path, you might not lose your applications, but backing up your important data is always a smart move just in case! Also, let us know what games you're working with, maybe we can help with those issues too!

Sometimes these types of upgrades can cause minor glitches. You could check the Windows Update settings to see if additional updates are pending and install those. Additionally, if you go into your system settings, you might find the option to roll back to the previous version if you act quickly—there's usually a time limit on that. Just be careful about losing any game saves or data!
