I'm on Windows 11 Pro (version 23H2), and I'm having a frustrating issue with Windows Hello. I can't log in using the camera; it keeps telling me the camera can't be turned on, even though the indicator light is on and I can see my live image in the camera settings. Here are some things I've checked: 1) The camera works fine in the settings under Bluetooth & Devices where I see a live image. 2) In Device Manager, I can't find a 'Cameras' option under Bluetooth, and when I look under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers,' my camera is listed. However, updating the drivers doesn't seem to help. 3) I've even checked for hidden devices, but still no luck. 4) My OS is a bit dated, so I'm hoping to upgrade to 24H2 but can't initiate the update. Any ideas on how to solve this?

That LogiTune application sounds suspicious! If it’s blocking the camera, you might want to try closing other applications or checking Task Manager to see which app is using it. Sometimes, apps can lock the camera unexpectedly.
Are you sure your camera is compatible with Windows Hello? Not all webcams work with it, especially if you're using a desktop rather than a laptop. Double-check that your camera is on that list!
By any chance, are you using an older Intel processor? If it's a 7th Gen or earlier, that could be a factor with compatibility for Windows Hello.
Nope, I have a Core i9-14900KF, which should be fine! It's confusing.
I looked into the Event Viewer and found a ton of errors related to the Windows Biometric Service failing to start. The event ID is 1600, and it seems like there's an issue with the service. Definitely worth checking that out!

I'm using a PC, and my camera is supposed to be compatible. It's really odd!
