I'm having a frustrating issue with Windows 11 where I can't open any properties. For instance, when I go to my C: drive in File Explorer and right-click to open the menu, the properties option doesn't bring up any window. I've also tried using the ALT+Enter shortcut, but that doesn't work either. All the other menu options seem to function normally.
Additionally, I attempted to run the SFC /SCANNOW command, but I keep receiving an error stating, "Windows resource protection could not start the repair." I checked services.msc to ensure that the Windows Modules Installer service was running and set to automatic, but it still isn't working. I've even tried restarting Windows Explorer, and nothing seems to fix the problem. On top of that, I can't access safe mode, and I have two updates that won't install, including version 25H2, which also shows an error. What should I do?

I've been in a similar situation! First, make sure you have backups of your important data. Unless you know what's causing the issue, a clean install might be the most reliable solution. It's always good to double-check your data before making any major changes, just in case.
What led to this issue? Did things work fine for you before? Knowing if there was a recent change might help narrow down the problem.
Have you tried running the Windows Update Troubleshooter? It might help with the update issues you're facing. If your system is really corrupted, a clean install could be the way to go. Also, keep in mind that sometimes malware can cause problems like these, as it tends to disable certain functions to avoid detection.
