I'm about to finalize the specs for my AMD workstation and gaming setup, but I would love some feedback before I make a purchase. My priorities are high performance and low noise. Here's what I'm currently looking at:
* Case: Fractal Define 7 Compact
* CPU: Ryzen 9800X3d
* CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A
* Power Supply: Be Quiet Dark Power 14 850W
* GPU: Sapphire RX 9070 XT Nitro+
* RAM: 64Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo
* Storage: 4Tb 990 Pro
I know it might seem like overkill, but I don't plan on upgrading for at least the next five years. Also, I've been considering small form factor options like the Fractal Terra, but I'm worried about potential heat issues with such limited ventilation and if it could handle the performance needs with this big GPU.

Before you commit, can I ask if this is a completely new build? If you're aiming for something compact (since you mentioned SFF), the Fractal Define 7 Compact is still quite a big mid-tower case. There are more compact mATX options that offer better airflow and build quality. Also, some of the parts seem on the pricier side; for example, the NH-U12A is often outperformed by other coolers at a lower cost.
By the way, where are you based? What's your budget? It sounds like you're aiming for a more compact case, right?

It’s a completely new build! I initially considered the Define 7 for noise control but then stumbled upon the Compact model. I’m worried the GPU might restrict me from going smaller due to size and heat management challenges. I’m in Europe, and I can source the parts easily. My budget is around $3.5k USD, but I can be flexible. Space is tight, so I am leaning towards a smaller case, as long as it can keep everything cool and quiet.
