Hey everyone! I'm having some serious trouble running the OnVUE system test ahead of my exam. After downloading the app and entering the access code, I get a frustrating error that says, 'Hmm... something's wrong. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong. We understand how frustrating this is and apologize for the inconvenience.'
I've tried a ton of troubleshooting steps including closing unnecessary apps, rebooting my router, enabling the app in the firewall, disabling antivirus, and even running some commands like 'gpupdate /force' and 'sfc /scannow.' I've restarted my device multiple times and deleted previous app versions before reinstalling. I even tested my internet speed, which seems fine at 285.85 Mbps download and 256.80 Mbps upload. I tried on two different laptops and even created a new Windows account, but nothing has worked.
I've reached out to OnVUE support, but they weren't much help, just suggesting a physical exam, which isn't an option for me since I'm overseas. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what else to try, I'd really appreciate it!

Is there a way to run the test via a web browser instead of the app? I feel like it's odd that you need an access code for a system test at all. Companies can sometimes make silly requirements like this. But if there’s no browser option, that’s really unfortunate.
Have you tried changing your DNS settings? Switching to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 did the trick for someone in a similar situation. It might just solve your problem!
Thanks for the tip! I changed my DNS and it actually worked! Really appreciate it.
Just a thought, did you book your test in a different country than where you’re currently located? That could potentially cause issues.
Thanks for the suggestion! But in my case, it was actually just the DNS settings that needed adjusting.
I totally get your frustration! I’m going through the same issues right now, and it’s so aggravating. Let’s hope we can resolve this soon! Good luck to you!

Unfortunately, the system only works with the OnVUE app, which needs to be downloaded each time you want to run the test. Plus, it requires an access code each time, which is different for each download.
