Hey everyone! I'm putting together a gaming PC focused on games like Rainbow 6 and Nightreign, as well as doing some video editing with DaVinci Resolve and light tasks on Google Sheets. Normally, I'd go for the ASRock option due to its price and features, but I've heard there are issues with them and 9000 series CPUs. I'm planning to use a 7800X3D now, but I might want to upgrade to a 9000 series CPU down the line. Do you think those issues can be fixed with updates? Also, I'd love to hear your overall thoughts on my build and any motherboard recommendations around $200 to $250. By the way, I know I could go for the 9070 XT or 7900 XTX, but I've read that the CUDA cores on the RTX 4080 Super would be more beneficial for my needs. Thanks a lot for your help!

Definitely steer clear of ASRock then, especially if you're concerned about future upgrades. That board recommendation is a Micro ATX, which might feel a bit cramped in a larger case. If you’re eyeing the ATX B850 Aorus Elite Ice, it seems like a solid choice even if it has fewer PCB layers. The difference might not be huge for everyday usage, but if you're going to push your system, it could matter. And going used for the 4080 Super sounds like a smart plan! That 3070 will serve you well until then.
Just a heads up, ASRock has been having issues with their AM5 motherboards across the board, not just with the 9000 series CPUs. You might want to consider something more reliable.
