I'm putting together an all-white PC and already know I'm willing to pay extra for the color scheme and the motherboard's look. I'm open to changing most of the other components. I recently graduated in architecture, so 3D modeling and rendering are essential, while gaming is also a major use case. I'd like to play competitive games and demanding titles such as GTA 6 and Forza at around 1440p with high or maximum settings. Rhino3D is one of the programs I expect to use, but I'm between jobs and may end up working with several different applications, each with different hardware requirements. I'm especially unsure about graphics-card compatibility and whether Nvidia's CUDA support would be important for my rendering software. I'm also debating memory: should I buy 32GB now, or start with 16GB and add another kit later?

For architecture and rendering, don’t choose the GPU based only on gaming benchmarks. Check the exact applications you expect to use and whether they support CUDA or favor Nvidia hardware. Some renderers run dramatically faster on Nvidia, and CUDA-dependent features may not work on AMD cards at all. There are also less expensive white motherboards available if the appearance is still close enough for you. For gaming and productivity, 32GB is the safer starting point, especially if you’ll be working with detailed models or several programs at once.
Since you’re using a Ryzen 7000-series processor, a B650 board could probably save some money without giving up much functionality. You could also consider a good air cooler instead of an AIO if you want to reduce the cost. For memory, there’s no reliable way to predict when prices will fall, so buying the full 32GB now is reasonable. Also double-check the Windows license: an OEM key is tied to the motherboard, while the retail USB version can be transferred to a replacement system.
The 7600X3D is excellent for gaming, but it’s less impressive for productivity than some similarly priced CPUs. A Ryzen 9600X or 7700X may be a better overall fit for modeling and rendering while still providing very strong gaming performance. An Intel Core Ultra 250K or 270K could also be worth considering, depending on application benchmarks. For the GPU, an RTX 5070 Ti may be worth stretching for if your rendering software benefits from Nvidia, but verify your workload first rather than assuming the most expensive option is necessary. I’d also get the retail USB edition of Windows 11 Home instead of the OEM version, particularly since the build doesn’t include a DVD drive.
The CPU distinction was really helpful, so I’ll change that part of the build. I’m primarily focused on Rhino3D right now, but I’ve used several other programs with very different requirements, so I’ll research those before locking in the GPU. I’m leaning toward buying 32GB immediately rather than gambling on memory prices later.
