I had a fully working VPN server just last week, but after a power outage and a Windows update, the VPN stopped functioning. Trying to troubleshoot, I decided to uninstall RRAS, intending to reinstall it afterward. Now I'm running into a major issue: I'm getting the error "source files could not be found" when I attempt to reinstall it. I've already tried using the ISO as the source and even checked Windows Update, but nothing seems to work. How can I get RRAS back on my system?

It might be quicker to just wipe and rebuild your server rather than trying to patch up the current situation. Sometimes starting fresh saves a lot of headaches!
Have you checked with your IT department? They might be able to restore your system from backups. But if you’re working on a personal home PC, it sounds like you need some specialized support. You could also consider asking for help in dedicated tech forums, but I’m skeptical they’ll have insights on RRAS since it's more geared toward enterprise setups.
Yeah, I figured as much. Just wanted to confirm since RRAS is definitely more of an enterprise tool! Good luck figuring this out.

I am the IT, actually. This is a Windows Server 2022 Standard, and it’s so new that there hasn't been a backup created yet.
