I paused my Windows updates, but somehow my computer still installed the kb5063878 update. It sounds frustrating! Windows can be tricky with updates sometimes. First off, when you pause updates, there could still be a maximum period of 5 weeks where it automatically resumes downloading updates. Since you mentioned you paused them, it's possible you might've exceeded that pause period without realizing. You might want to check how long the pause was supposed to last.
