Help! There’s an Annoying “No” Symbol Stuck on My Screen

Hey everyone,

I noticed this strange "no" symbol popped up on my screen earlier today. It's not linked to any specific window or program that I can find, and I can't interact with it at all. I took a screenshot with my Steam page open to show it more clearly, but it appears on top of everything I have open—whether I'm using a browser, Steam, or Word. It's not really causing issues, but it's super annoying, like having rice stuck in my teeth. If anyone knows what might be causing this or how to get rid of it without restarting my computer (though I have a feeling that might do the trick), I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot!

You might want to try opening the Task Manager. Once it’s open, look for "Windows Explorer" and restart it. That might help get rid of that pesky symbol.

Thanks for the tip! I tried restarting Explorer three times, but it didn't change anything 🙁
