Help! Windows 11 is Acting Up After Fresh Install

Hey folks! I recently did a fresh install of Windows 11 on my home PC, and since then, it's been acting pretty weird. For starters, when I try to open Valorant, I just get stuck on the loading screen and can't actually get into the game. When I open Task Manager to try and force close it, it looks really odd. Additionally, Discord only works for a couple of seconds before it stops responding to any mouse clicks or commands. I've tried reinstalling Windows again, but the issue returns after I download all my programs. I followed some troubleshooting advice from a post I found, but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with these kinds of problems? Thanks in advance!

Glad to hear that the clean boot helped! It sounds like you've narrowed down a lot of potential issues. As for those warning symbols in Device Manager, it could be that there are still some missing drivers or that something's not configured right—even after reinstalling from the official site. Just keep an eye on it and double-check any device-specific software you might need.

Check your Device Manager! When you reinstall Windows, you'll need to download and install all the required drivers from the manufacturer's website. Ensure there aren't any exclamation points or unknown devices in there. If you've already done that, you might want to double-check your drivers just to be safe.

Sounds like your performance counters or WMI might be corrupted, or perhaps you have a problematic driver. To fix this, try running a couple of commands in CMD as an admin: first, execute `lodctr /R` and `winmgmt /resyncperf`, then restart your PC. After that, repair your Windows files using `DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth` followed by `sfc /scannow`, and reboot again. Also, do a clean boot via msconfig, hide Microsoft services, and disable non-essential startup apps. If Valorant and Discord start to work after that, re-enable services one by one to locate the culprit.
