I'm experiencing an issue with Windows Defender after the latest update on Windows 11. Whenever I try to open it, I receive a message saying, 'Windows Security is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed into the store and try again.' The error code it shows is 0x803F8001. The strange thing is, I am logged into the Microsoft Store, so that shouldn't be the problem. I've got OS Build ID 26200.7623 and the Windows Defender Definitions update KB2267602. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I've seen this issue pop up quite a bit recently. It seems to be related to the latest updates, and many users are experiencing the same error. Microsoft is aware of it and is reportedly working on a fix, so keep an eye out for future updates. In the meantime, try resetting the Microsoft Store app or ensuring your Windows is fully updated, as that sometimes clears up the problem.
You're not alone! I started having the same issue. Other apps like Notepad are also acting up with similar messages. It might be best to wait for a patch from Microsoft since this appears to be widespread.
Same boat here. I noticed this on my Windows 10 too! Defender stopped working after the latest updates. Hopefully, Microsoft gets on this quickly. I've been checking for updates regularly just in case they roll out a fix.
