Help with Alt + Tab Functionality in Windows 11

I've been using Windows 11 Home for over a year, and suddenly, pressing Alt + Tab no longer just switches to my last tab. Now it pulls up every open window, making it cumbersome to switch between them. I've tried adjusting the multitasking settings in Windows settings, specifically changing the option to not show tabs from apps, but that hasn't helped. While playing games like CS2, alt-tabbing is much slower now as I have to cycle through every window. With League of Legends, it doesn't even work at all; nothing happens when I try to alt-tab. I'm looking for any solutions to get this working as it did before. Thanks!

Make sure Windows is fully updated since sometimes these functionality issues can stem from bugs in earlier versions. Also, check your graphics driver; sometimes an update there can resolve unusual behavior with things like alt-tabbing during games.

Good point! Keeping everything updated can really make a difference. Always check for both Windows and driver updates!

It sounds like a frustrating issue! One workaround is to try playing your games in borderless fullscreen mode instead of fullscreen. This can improve alt-tabbing performance because it lets you switch apps without significant lag. You can switch desktop workspaces using Ctrl + Win + Left/Right arrows while still using Alt + Tab to switch apps within the same screen. Give it a shot and see if it improves the experience!

I had a similar problem, but switching to borderless fixed everything for me! Definitely worth a try.
