Help with Grub-Install Error on Linux Mint

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to Linux and trying to install Linux Mint on my old HP Pavilion x360 from 2017. Unfortunately, I keep running into a fatal error during the installation that says 'Grub-install /dev/sda failed.' I attempted to use the 'sudo grub-install' command, but it returned an error saying 'cannot find EFI directory.' Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this issue or prepare the laptop so the installation works correctly?

It sounds like you've hit a common snag! The installation media for Mint includes a tool called boot-repair; you might want to give that a shot. It can help fix Grub issues pretty effectively!

I appreciate the tip! I just ran the boot-repair tool and it detected some target issues, advising me to restart the installer. Fingers crossed that it helps!
