I'm having trouble installing the Intel UHD 630 driver on my Optiplex Micro 3070 with an i3-9100T. The monitor I'm using is a ZEUSLAP 10.5" portable monitor, and it's connected via HDMI. After a clean install of Windows 11 24H2 LTSC, I start off with the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter which works perfectly at 1920x1280 resolution. However, when Windows updates to the Intel UHD Graphics 630 driver, my display drops to 640x480 resolution immediately. The resolution settings become greyed out and I can only see 640x480 @ 60Hz listed under adapter settings. Strangely, MonitorInfoView confirms my monitor can handle 1920x1280 @ 60Hz. Device Manager shows that the driver is functioning properly, but under events, it states that the driver requires further installation. Uninstalling the Intel driver reverts back to the correct resolution until I reinstall the Intel driver again. I've confirmed that the monitor works fine on other systems, and the same issue persists across different HDMI cables and ports. Also noteworthy is that the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with the Intel i915 driver functions without any issues. I'm puzzled about this conflicting hardware combination. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered injecting your official drivers during the install process rather than starting from scratch? It might help prevent the resolution issue. You can find your specific drivers on Dell's official support page. It'll ensure you're using the right drivers from the get-go!

If you go that route, don't forget to check out the wushowhide.diagcab tool. It can help you prevent Windows Update from automatically replacing your Intel drivers, which might be causing your headaches. I've had similar issues with other systems at work!
