I recently got my hands on an Elgato 4K Pro that needs a PCIe 2.0 x4 compatible slot to function properly. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B650M C V3, and while my GPU is utilizing the first slot at 4x16, the Elgato card is stuck at 2x1, even though the slot is labeled as 2x4. I tried removing my NVMe drive thinking it might be causing issues, but that didn't help. The BIOS indicates it supports the Elgato card, but it just won't connect at the required speed. I can adjust PCIe slot settings in BIOS for different generations, but that doesn't change the connection speed either. I really need this card to work at 2.0 x4!

It looks like your motherboard might not be the best fit for what you're trying to do. The specs suggest that the bottom PCIe slots can only operate as PCIe 3.0 x1, which won't support your Elgato properly. You might want to consider a different motherboard that can handle more PCIe lanes effectively. Check the official specs to confirm!
Right, your current PCIe slots are limited to 3.0 x1 connections. If you want to use multiple cards, an ATX motherboard would be a much better choice than your micro-ATX setup. Look into AMD chipsets for a solid connection, or even Intel if you want flexibility with more cards and NVMe drives.
Ah, I see now! Thanks for the help!
Thanks for clarifying that! I guess I need a new board.
