I've just swapped out my Ryzen 5 3600 for a Ryzen 5 5600X on my B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard, and now I'm facing a red CPU light when trying to start up my system. I had a bit of trouble with the cooler during the process since the back plate fell out, but I managed to secure everything back in place. Before this upgrade, I hadn't updated my motherboard's BIOS in a while. Any advice on how to resolve the red CPU light issue?

It sounds like you didn't damage anything during the swap, which is good. One thing to check is if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date. Newer CPUs often need the latest firmware to function properly. If you haven't updated in a while, that's definitely something to consider!

I had the same issue, but once I updated my BIOS, it worked perfectly with my 5600X.
