Help with Replacing LCD on iPhone 12 Pro

Hey everyone! I need some help with a problem I'm facing. I ordered an LCD screen for my iPhone 12 Pro, but I'm having trouble fitting it into the phone frame. There are some hinges on the back of the LCD that seem to be meant for screws, but there aren't any holes for screws on the phone's frame. What should I do with these hinges? Can I just remove them, or is there more to it? Additionally, I noticed that the front camera glass and Face ID system are attached inside the frame of the phone, not on the back of the new LCD. How can I resolve that? I've watched some YouTube videos and can manage to swap the screens, but these two issues are really holding me up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you might have a non-genuine LCD, which can sometimes be poorly made and not fit well. The original iPhone screens are OLED, so a replica LCD could cause problems. Honestly, I don't recommend using an LCD if you can help it—OLED is much better quality, and Apple took a while to standardize it across all models. If you're set on using this new screen, make sure the hinges are meant for your specific part or consider looking for a different one that will fit properly.

And about the camera glass, it might just need to be carefully swapped over to the new display. Make sure to check out guides specific to the iPhone 12 Pro to see how others have navigated similar issues!

I’ve got an LCD on my phone too and it’s been working fine for stuff like texting and calls. It fit well when I installed it. I think it’s really just the hinges and that camera glass you need to tackle! Just take it slow and follow some more guides to get it sorted.

Removing the camera glass and those hinges can be tricky! Just be super careful not to apply too much pressure. You might want to heat it a bit to loosen the adhesive, but make sure to follow a tutorial step-by-step!
