I spent around £6000 aiming for a machine that could effortlessly handle modern games at ultra settings and provide high frame rates, particularly for future 4K gaming. Running games like Battlefield 6 leads to fluctuating frame rates, often between 80-140 FPS with noticeable stuttering. It feels like my CPU is underutilized compared to the GPU, and even less demanding games have occasional frame inconsistencies. I've tried some troubleshooting steps like updating drivers, adjusting settings, and checking my RAM configuration, but improvements have been minimal. Your setup should crush games at ultra settings without breaking a sweat. Running 3DMark is a good idea to see how your system compares to others with similar specs. Make sure to enable the EXPO profile for your RAM in the BIOS—it may boost your RAM to its rated speeds. If performance is still lacking, there's a good chance the RAM configuration could be causing issues; dual-channel can be more effective for Ryzen systems.
Considering how much you spent, you'd definitely expect top-notch performance. Have you checked in with the company that built it? With that price point, they should help sort out any problems. You may also want to monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures, as overheating could throttle your performance. I ran those benchmarks, and although they came back as valid, they showed much lower FPS than expected. It looks like I really need to focus on the BIOS settings and see if switching my RAM configuration makes a difference.
