I inherited an iPhone and an iPad but don't have any login information or the original proof of purchase. I'm trying to figure out how to access these devices without the passcode. What steps can I take to access them without losing any data or corrupting them? Any help would be appreciated!

If you have a copy of the will and the death certificate, it’s worth contacting Apple. They can sometimes help with account recovery in these situations. Just keep in mind that while they might let you remove Find My iPhone, getting access to the original data might be more complicated.

Unfortunately, you might be out of luck unless you were set up as a legacy contact. Apple typically requires the original owner’s credentials to access the devices unless you can provide legal documentation like a will and a death certificate to prove inheritance. They might be able to help with things like disabling Find My iPhone, but accessing the existing data is a different ball game.
