My Redmi Note 12 fell and the display is no longer working. Some call-related functions, including the speaker, also seem affected. I need temporary access to the phone from my laptop because important work is stored on it, but I cannot afford a screen replacement yet. Is there a way to mirror or control the phone until I can get it repaired?

A USB-C-to-HDMI adapter could work if the phone supports video output over USB-C. You would still need a way to interact with the phone, such as a USB mouse through a hub, unless touch input is still usable. The Redmi Note 12 may not support direct display output, so compatibility needs to be checked first.
Replacing the screen is the most reliable solution. Laptop mirroring tools such as scrcpy generally require USB debugging to have been enabled beforehand and may require unlocking or authorizing the computer on the phone. If the display is completely dead, a repair shop may be able to connect a temporary screen or help copy the data before the replacement.
That is the goal eventually, but I cannot afford the repair right now and need to recover the work stored on the phone first.

Displaying the image is only part of the problem—if the touchscreen is also damaged, you would need a USB mouse or another control method.
