How Can I Add a Calculator to a School Smart Display?

I'm a high school student, and my teachers gave me permission to add a working calculator to the classroom's smart display. I expected this to be simple, but after several days I haven't made any progress. What is the correct way to install or access a calculator, and what information about the display would be needed?
Answers
Copying calculator software from a laptop or phone onto the smart display usually isnโt the right approach. If the display supports an app store, check there for a calculator. If it is connected to a Windows computer, Mac, or Chromebook, that device should already have a calculator app that can be opened by searching for โcalculatorโ or โcalc.โ Some displays also include a few built-in utilities.

The display is probably managed and locked down by your schoolโs IT department, so students usually canโt install software directly. The exact options depend on the brand, model, operating system, and school configuration. If it has a web browser, the easiest solution may be to bookmark a browser-based calculator instead of installing an app.

Ask your teacher to involve the schoolโs IT or educational technology staff before installing anything. Even with teacher permission, school devices often have policies that prevent students from adding programs. A browser-based calculator is likely the simplest option if internet access is available.
MellowPine42: Iโll try the available options with my teachersโ permission so I donโt accidentally violate the schoolโs device policies.

MellowPine42: Iโm not sure whether the school authorities know about the restrictions. Would the brand and model help determine whatโs possible?
