Hey there! I'm new to manually tweaking RAM settings and could really use some guidance. I've got an R9 9800x3D processor paired with Patriot 32GB (2x16GB) 7000MHz CL38 Viper Elite 5 RGB RAM. I've come across information suggesting the 9800x3D runs better with 6000MHz speeds and CL30 timings. Is there a way to lower my RAM speed to 6000MHz and adjust the timings to CL30? If yes, how would I go about it? My motherboard is an ASUS STRIX B850-A GAMING WIFI.

The easiest way to do this would be to enable EXPO or XMP in your BIOS. This usually auto-configures all your RAM settings. After that, you can manually adjust the DRAM Frequency from 7000MHz to 6000MHz and change the CAS latency from CL38 to CL30. Just make sure to change one setting at a time and test to ensure stability before tweaking anything else.
But be careful, this RAM might not support EXPO. Is it really possible to change from 7000MHz to 6000MHz and from CL38 to CL30?

I tried setting XMP on my last rig and couldn't boot at 6000MHz. I had to drop it down to 5800MHz to boot stably.
