How Can I Automatically Close the Steam Launcher After Starting a Game?

I'm really annoyed that the Steam launcher doesn't close automatically after I start playing a game. I want to keep the client running but have the launcher itself disappear after a few seconds. Is there a way to set this up? Also, I'm using Fedora 43 for reference!

Have you tried adding a kill command after launching your game? That could be a quick way to automate closing the launcher.

Are you looking to just minimize the launcher, or actually terminate it? Usually, when you exit Steam, the game closes too, but that might not be what you want.
