I'm planning a new PC in Germany for two main uses: gaming and professional video work in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. My current system is starting to limit me, so I'd like this build to remain capable for roughly six years without needing major upgrades. I already own a 2TB SSD that will be added to the system, so it isn't included in the parts list. I'm keeping 64GB of RAM because After Effects can use a large amount of memory. I initially considered an AMD Radeon 9070 XT, but I've seen concerns about its performance and compatibility in Adobe applications. My target budget is around €3,500, preferably lower if there are sensible ways to reduce the cost without sacrificing too much gaming or editing performance. What parts would you change or recommend?

For a system that needs to handle Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, it’s worth checking application-specific benchmark data instead of relying only on general gaming reviews. Puget Systems has useful testing for these programs and can help compare CPUs and GPUs based on the workloads you actually use.
The Ryzen 9 9950X may not offer the best value for this build. A Core Ultra 7 270K-class processor could potentially match or outperform it in some workloads while costing less. The overall parts pricing also looks higher than necessary, so comparing German retailers and checking current CPU benchmarks would be worthwhile.

Would switching to that processor also require changing the motherboard, or is it compatible with the rest of the planned platform?
