I started my journey in web development about a year ago, spending most of that time learning and practicing my skills. Recently, I've been trying to market my services, specifically targeting cafes, bars, and local businesses, but I've had no luck so far. I've been sending direct messages daily, creating demo sites to grab their attention, regularly posting on Instagram and Facebook, writing blogs, and even setting up a referral program. Despite all of this effort, no one seems interested in what I have to offer. I'm looking for advice on how to improve my sales. How did you make your first sale in this field?

From my experience, direct calling works better than DMs or emails. You usually need to reach out personally to get a response, especially from local businesses that might not check their social media regularly. It’s a great way to gauge their interest and build a relationship right from the start.

Thanks for the advice! I think I need to start making calls next.
