How Can I Build a PC on a $500 Budget Without Compromising Too Much?

I'm trying to build a PC, but my budget is strictly $500, and I really want to stay within that limit. I currently have some decent parts in mind, but they seem to push me over budget, so I'm looking for recommendations for better value components that are lower in price. If anyone has suggestions for parts that can help keep costs down while still offering good quality, I'd really appreciate it! Also, here's my current list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4ZY9HW

At this price point, you should really focus on getting used or second-hand parts. Definitely go for the Ryzen 5600 over the 5600G since itโ€™s significantly cheaper and faster. A good motherboard option is the MSI B550M-VC, which is great for a Wi-Fi-enabled board. You can also find cheaper 2x8GB RAM kits out there.

If there's a Microcenter nearby, they sometimes have fantastic deals. You could grab a Ryzen 7600X with a motherboard and RAM for about $250, which saves you $21 compared to other options. For the GPU, again, look for a used RX 6600 or 6600XT. The 6500XT isnโ€™t worth it at all. Keep in mind, you might be $80 over budget when you include the power supply, so options are getting tight.

Just curious, why did you choose the 5600G? If youโ€™re buying a dedicated GPU, you probably donโ€™t need to spend extra for integrated graphics. Also, I noticed you're looking at Windows 10, but keep in mind itโ€™s getting phased out soon. What kinds of games are you planning to run on this setup?

Think about buying used parts to get more bang for your buck! Places like Facebook Marketplace can be a goldmine for affordable components.

You might want to switch your CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600. Itโ€™s cheaper and offers better performance than the 5600G, which isnโ€™t a great deal at its current price. Also, consider picking up a used RX 6600 or a GTX 3060 for around $150. Just avoid the RX 6500 XT since its 4GB VRAM makes it hard to play anything at 1080p unless it's an old game.
