I'm on Windows 11 and trying to download XMR wallet installers, specifically Feather and GUI versions. However, Smart Screen keeps blocking the .exe files from downloading. I've gone through the settings for both Windows Defender and the system itself and even tried disabling them temporarily, but the downloads are automatically deleted as soon as they finish. I used to be able to just allow the downloads to complete without any issues. What steps can I take to resolve this? Just to clarify, I'm sure the downloads are from official sources.

One thing you could try is clicking on 'More info' when you see the warning, then select 'Run anyway.' However, it seems you mentioned that there's no option to interact with the download this way, which is really frustrating. It sounds like there might be a stricter rule in the latest updates that’s causing this issue.
If that doesn't work, you might consider temporarily disabling Smart Screen entirely. Go to Windows Security settings and look for the 'App & browser control' section, then turn off Smart Screen for apps and browsers. Just remember to turn it back on after you're done!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Windows has gotten tighter with some security updates, which can block legitimate downloads. Have you looked into adjusting your Smart Screen settings? Sometimes resetting those can help.
