Avast was installed alongside a game I downloaded, but I never created an Avast account or set a password. When I tried removing it, the uninstaller asked me to sign in. I was able to access Avast using my Apple ID and fingerprint passkey, but that didn't give me a password. I just want to remove Avast completely—do I need to create a password, or is there another way to uninstall it?

Try Avast’s official removal utility, commonly called Avast Clear. It is designed to remove Avast when the regular uninstaller fails or asks for credentials. Run it as an administrator and follow the prompts, preferably in Windows Safe Mode if the normal removal does not work.
You shouldn’t need to create an Avast account just to remove the antivirus. The account and passkey are separate from the local uninstall process, so use Avast’s official cleanup tool instead of trying to invent a password.
You can also check Windows Settings or Control Panel under installed apps and choose Uninstall. However, if Avast blocks the normal uninstall process, the dedicated removal utility is usually the better option.
