Norton 360 came preinstalled on my Windows 11 computer, and I have tried several times to uninstall it without success. I'm also having trouble removing the Epic Games Launcher. I'm not sure whether Norton is necessary or what it does, and I would like to remove both programs safely. What should I check or try?

First, check that you’re using a Windows account with administrator privileges. A restricted or standard account may prevent software from being removed. For Epic Games Launcher, try Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find it, select the three-dot menu, and choose Uninstall.
Don’t just delete the program folders or change BIOS and disk settings to get rid of the software. If the uninstallers still fail, restart Windows and try again with an administrator account, or use Safe Mode only as a troubleshooting step. Manual deletion can leave services and broken entries behind.
