How can I connect my laptop to a hotel TV via HDMI?

Hey everyone! I'm going to be staying in a hotel for about a week and I'm trying to connect my laptop to the TV using HDMI. The TV model is 50UN560H0UA. I've tried various tips I've found on Reddit, but nothing seems to work. The remote doesn't have an input option, the TV box is hidden behind the wall and I can't access it, and the only button on the TV itself is the power button. I can't even bring up a menu or enter any codes to switch inputs. I asked the front desk for help, but they said they can't assist with HDMI connections. My last resort might be to buy a universal remote, but I'm not sure if that will even help. Any advice?

You could give a universal remote a shot since they're pretty cheap, around $10. From what I know about LG TVs, there should be an app menu that lets you change inputs. If that's not accessible, it might be that the TV is already using the HDMI ports. You could try unplugging any HDMI connections there and see if your laptop works with the existing one!

That sucks! If there's truly no menu available, it might be tricky. I guess if the TV has multiple HDMI ports, just make sure you're plugging into one that's not currently in use.

Check out this YouTube link for some tips: [YouTube HDMI Tips](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g_YtHYffEs). Just remember, if you can't input the 133-0 code, it sounds like the TV might be locked into certain channels and you might not be able to change it easily.

I tried to enter that code too, but it kept switching to channel 13. It's frustrating when TVs are this restrictive!
