How Can I Create a Personal Website for My Scholarship Application?

Hey everyone! I'm applying for a scholarship at school, and I want to submit something a bit creative about myself. I'm thinking of coding a simple website, because most people just submit videos and I want to stand out. I have some coding experience, but I'm not too sure how to actually build a website. Also, I'd like to know how I can save it on a USB-C or share a link while keeping it private so no one else can view it. Any advice would be super helpful!

If you're looking to learn how to create a website, I definitely recommend checking out MDN's Learn Web Development tutorial. It's a solid resource for beginners! As for saving it, you can easily put it on a flash drive after creating it.

I would suggest taking it a step further by deploying your site on a platform like Vercel. You can set up a password barrier in the settings, and then just share that password with the scholarship committee. This way, they can view it privately.

Have you considered using a website builder like SquareSpace or Wix? They’re really easy to use, and you can create something nice without much coding. But I get it, you want to show off your coding skills for a computer science scholarship!
