I'm a karaoke DJ at a small bar and need the song lyrics to appear on two TVs. The TVs are mounted back-to-back in the middle of the room—one faces the stage and the other faces the back of the room. The lyrics currently display correctly on the stage-facing TV. I bought an HDMI splitter, connected my computer to its input, and ran one HDMI cable from each output to the TVs. However, the computer only displays on its main screen and seems to recognize the splitter as a different type of display device. What setup or hardware would let me mirror the same screen on both TVs?

First, confirm the computer is connected to the splitter’s HDMI input and both TVs are connected to the splitter’s outputs. Make sure each TV is set to the correct HDMI input, and test each cable and TV directly from the computer. If everything works individually, the splitter may simply be incompatible. A different, preferably powered, HDMI splitter could solve it.
The splitter may be causing an EDID or display-identification conflict. Look for an HDMI splitter with EDID management, passthrough, or an EDID emulator. That allows the computer to see one consistent display while the splitter sends the same signal to both TVs. A powered splitter designed for mirroring one source to multiple displays is usually the safest choice.

I went through those basic checks already. The issue seems to be that the computer doesn’t cooperate with this particular splitter, so I’m hoping there’s a setting or hardware fix.
