I'm thinking about buying a refurbished laptop from eBay and the listing claims it comes with a clean Windows 11 installation. However, I'm feeling a bit anxious about whether it's truly secure and free from any issues left by the previous owner. Since I plan to use this laptop for online banking and schoolwork, I really want to make sure there are no risks involved. What's the best way for a regular user like me to verify that everything is safe and legit right after I get the laptop?

Definitely reinstall Windows and remove all partitions during setup. It's surprising that more people don't do this. This way, you can be sure there's nothing left over from the previous owner.
