I'm trying to install Minecraft, but the installation keeps failing even though I have enough storage and memory. I've already removed the Minecraft APKs and deleted the other Minecraft files I could find. Factory resetting was suggested as a possible solution, but I want to keep important information such as contacts, emails, and saved game data. What should I back up, and what is the safest way to reset the device?

A factory reset erases the device’s internal data, so back up everything first. Sync contacts and calendars with your account, confirm your emails are available by signing in through a browser, and copy photos and documents to cloud storage or a computer. Check each game separately because save data may only be stored locally unless cloud backup is enabled. Also make sure you know your device account password before resetting.
Before considering a factory reset, it would help to know the exact error message, your device model, operating system version, and whether you’re installing the Java or Bedrock edition. A reset may not fix the underlying installation problem, so try troubleshooting the store, clearing its cache and data, checking download permissions, and restarting the device first.
