I've realized that my online security has been compromised, and it seems my password might have leaked. I know it's not smart, but I used the same password for all my accounts. I checked my Gmail, and there were no alerts about suspicious logins. However, multiple social media accounts are being deactivated, and I had to change their passwords. Strangely, my Discord account started sending out spam links about Mr. Beast giving away BTC, which is how I found out. I haven't clicked on anything suspicious lately. I want to understand how the breach occurred, where the virus might have spread, and if I'm currently safe.

Since you used the same password across multiple sites, it's likely that your info has leaked at some point in the past. There are huge databases of compromised emails and passwords from various breaches that are available online. Take the time to go through your accounts, create unique passwords, and definitely enable two-factor authentication (2FA). I'd recommend using something like Microsoft Authenticator or Authy for added security.

Start using passphrases instead of regular passwords! Think of something personal but not easy to guess, like a sentence with some symbols. Also, check your email on haveibeenpwned to see if any of your linked accounts have been compromised. The breach likely came from a less secure site, so keep an eye on older accounts, too!

I had a breach on MangaDex in 2021, so I totally get how serious it can be!
