I'm currently in a bit of a bind with my web development project. My developer has finished the main page, but my focus is really on creating a customer portal. I have a desktop app that I'm getting ready to license, and while I have a licensing server that works with Stripe, I need a portal that can capture customer and subscription IDs from Stripe and query my server for info like keys, status, and machine IDs. Unfortunately, the developer I'm working with is struggling to properly integrate Stripe with the portal using a plugin. Can anyone provide some advice on what to include in a job listing or how to find a developer who can tackle this?

I totally get where you're coming from! The customer portal you’re envisioning needs to bridge Stripe's API with your licensing server effectively, which most ready-made plugins won't handle. You need a dev who can extract the customer and subscription information from Stripe, and then display it in a user-friendly way. Instead of relying on plugins, getting a dev to build this custom solution will offer you flexibility for future updates as well. If you need someone who's dealt with this kind of work before, I'd suggest making that a key requirement in your next ad.
You definitely get what you pay for! I understand this is a side project and budget constraints can be tough. But keep in mind that quality work often requires a solid investment. Make sure to clearly outline all your needs—just a well-defined project scope can help attract the right developer, even if you’re working with a budget.

Yeah, I aimed for a $1000 budget for around 7 pages and the portal, thinking it wasn't too complex. What do you think?
