I recently bought a new 32GB USB 3.0 drive to install Linux on my old laptop, but after a few uses, I started getting errors. When I tried to clean the drive using Diskpart, it threw an error and then ejected itself. Now, whenever I try to format or clean it, the drive just keeps ejecting and is completely unusable. Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?

You might want to try using a Linux machine with GParted to reformat the drive. Sometimes, if you're unlucky, USB drives bought online can be fake and show a larger size than they actually are, which can cause issues. Just keep in mind that it's possible to install Linux alongside Windows directly from a browser if you want to try that as well.

If I try to format it, it just keeps ejecting every time. I bought it from a local store and used it a few times today, so I don’t think it’s a fake. Do you have any other suggestions?
