I began my career writing APIs, middleware, and some COBOL, then moved into technology-adjacent work such as product design and business roles. Over the past year, I've been rebuilding and strengthening my Python skills. What are some practical ways to test those skills on realistic projects that require genuine problem-solving and coding? Paid work would be ideal, but I'm also interested in worthwhile small projects, freelance opportunities, or other places where people find this kind of experience.
