I borrowed my friend's brand new Gigabyte laptop and plugged in my Ethernet cable, but now it's stuck and I can't get it out! I tried using a screwdriver method but that didn't help. What should I do?

You need to pull down the small movable flap piece below the cable. While doing that, push the Ethernet tab in, then slightly push the cable in more and fully press down the release tab. It should work! Let me know if that makes sense.

If you don’t mind losing the protective snab, you could carefully cut it with scissors. Then use a pen or a flathead screwdriver to push on the clear clip to release it.

Try pushing the RJ45 end in a little, then lift the clear tab under the snag protector while pulling the cable out. That could do the trick!

Here's what it looks like currently. Try pulling it out slowly, it might just need a little wiggling to get loose.

Yeah, just pull it out carefully, it should come free.
