Hey everyone! I recently started a new work-from-home job, and they're sending me a desktop that has to connect to the internet via an Ethernet cable. The catch is, I share my apartment, and the modem is in the hall. I don't have an Ethernet plug in my room, and my landlord is strict about not allowing any drilling or heavy work. What are some ways I can set up a reliable Ethernet connection without messing up the place?

If your floor is carpeted, you could potentially run an Ethernet cable underneath it. Just keep it snug against the walls and near the door hinge. That way, it stays discreet. There’s also special flat Ethernet cable you can buy for this purpose if needed!
