How can I get dictionary definitions on Google Search again?

I've been trying to find dictionary definitions on Google Search, but I'm running into issues. I heard that adding "-ai" at the end of my search inquiry might help, but it doesn't really work for me. Instead of showing me the definitions like it used to, it just removes both the AI definition and any dictionary sources like Oxford Languages. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S20 with the Google Search app, and I'm not sure what else to do. Any tips?

Another option is to add the word "definition" at the end of your search, or you might want to check out a dedicated dictionary app. It seems like Google has made some changes with the AI features, so it might not function like it used to.

You can try using "define:" or just "define" before your search term. That usually pulls up definitions for me!

This is super annoying! I totally get where you're coming from. Google needs to fix the search so we can get basic definitions without all the extra AI stuff. It's out of control!
