How can I import a large movie list into Letterboxd without Selenium?

I have a list of more than 100 movies with ratings that I previously kept in a notes app. I wanted to use Python and Selenium to log them on Letterboxd, but I ran into Cloudflare error 600010โeven before I could successfully log in. I'm only trying to transfer my own movie history, not spam or review-bomb anything. Is there a better way to automate or import this list?

If you still want to use Python, use it only to generate a CSV in the platformโs supported import format rather than controlling a browser. Browser automation can trigger anti-bot protections, and trying to evade those protections with proxies or IP rotation may violate the siteโs rules. The official import process is safer and more reliable for a batch of personal data.

Letterboxd supports importing movie data from a CSV file, so you probably donโt need Selenium at all. Check its data-import format, then either prepare the file manually or use Python to convert your notes into the required columns. You can upload the whole list in one go without dealing with browser automation or Cloudflare.
MellowCedar47: That completely slipped my mindโI should have checked the import options before writing automation. Thanks, this is much simpler.

MellowCedar47: It looks like the CSV route is definitely the way to go. I didnโt realize the site could import a whole list at once.
